  • Now, put your pressure cooker on the stove, add approximately one cup of salt at the base of your pressure cooker. Place a steel ring and a perforated plate on the base of your cooker so that the cake tin is elevated and does not touch the base of the cooker. If your cake tin touches the cooker base, there are high chances that your cake will get burnt and will not come out as you wanted it to.
  • Once the ring and the plate are set, cover your cooker with a lid and heat the empty cooker for five minutes.
  • Once your pressure cooker is preheated open the lid of the cooker, place the cake tin on the perforated plate then cover it with a lid and steam your cake batter on a medium for twenty to twenty-five minutes.
  • If your cooker has some steam, then allow the steam to escape before opening the lid. Keep the cooker aside to cool for ten minutes. Invert the tin over a wire rack and tap sharply to unmold the cake or use a knife to loosen the edges of the cake.
